Three Sisters Sea Stacks Tettegouche Print

This piece of artwork was inspired by my travels to Crystal Beach at Tettegouche State Park inĀ  Silver Bay, Minnesota. This particular rock formation was named the Three Sisters by old fishermen of the great Lake Superior.

Photographers loved to photograph this Minnesota landmark for its beauty, especially in winter as ice hung from the beautiful rocks and trees.

Standing on the shore during a blustery storm, waves have the capacity to crash high up the 100-foot cliffs, you can feel the immense power as if a freight train stops just before hitting you.

Sadly, this monument was lost to such events during a fierce storm in April of 2016. I was lucky enough to have traveled to the park to photograph it during the winter before waves destroyed the lovely stacks of rock.

This print was painted in a smaller 5″ x 7″ size, you will receive a print, frame not included.
